The fiber optic trackball is designed to give a mouse-like computer response option for use in special environments like MRI or MEG where metal or electronics could hinder data acquisition, degrade image quality, or pose safety risks. The all-plastic trackball works on light signals from our electronic interface which is placed outside the magnet or MEG room. A complete system includes the trackball handheld, the electronic interface, and the removable fiber optic bundle.
